On February 2, 2006, at approximately 2:00pm, Columbus Police officers were dispatched to the area of 2389 Apple St. in regards to a shooting. Upon arriving, officers located the victim Charles Brown, Jr., who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Mt. Carmel West Hospital where he died due to the wounds he sustained. Prior to the shooting taking place, the victim had been sitting in his 1995 Chevy Lumina parked in front of 2389 Apple St. The suspect shot Mr. Brown through the driver’s side window. The Police believe the suspect has told people that he committed this homicide; therefore, anyone with any information needs to come forward so that charges can be filed on the individual responsible for the homicide of Charles Brown Jr.
Since posting, Michael Cumberlander has been arrested for this crime.
